A wonderful winter name that I think would be best suited to a little boy. Frost forms when surfaces are cooled below dew point of the adjacent air as well as below the freezing point of water. There are different types of frost as well, there is hoar frost which is ice crystals which covers different objects and surfaces on cold nights. Advecation frost or wind frost forms when there is a cold wind that forms ice spikes, usually going in the same direction as the wind is blowing. Window frost or fern frost forms beautiful patterns on windows. The most unusual type of frost are frost flowers which are thin layers of ice that come from long stemmed plants in autumn or early winter. They curl into beautiful petals that appear to be flowers.

Robert Frost is a famous American poet who received four Pulitzer Prizes for his poetry. Jack Frost is a mythological sprite from Viking Lore who is known for bringing in frosty weather, leaving patterns of frost on the windows, coloring the leaves for autumn, and nipping toes and noses in the winter. Jack Frost appears in many movies and books like Terry Pratchett’s “Hogfather”and Neil Gaiman’s “The Graveyard Book”.
