Fallow is one of the oldest color names in English, the first time it was used was in the year 1000. In South Africa it is called Ravi Brown. I think Fallow would be an interesting name choice, people are using Scarlett all the time!

The Fallow Deer is native to Western Eurasia, it is commonly a chestnut color with white speckles in the summer and in the winter it is much darker with no pronounced specks. They are easily tamed so they are often kept as pets. In the Ottenby Perserve in Öland, Sweden, Karl X Gustav erected a stone wall to enclose a royal herd of Fallow Deer in the 17th century. They still exsist as of 2006.
